Graduate School of Aviation Industry & Business Administration was renamed to Graduate School of Aviation & Management.
School of Air Transport, Transportation & Logistics and Department of Air & space Law were merged into School of
Air Transport, Transportation, & Logistics.

The New Administrative Building was built.

February 15th, 2007
The official name was changed from Hankuk Aviation University to Korea Aerospace University.

November 1th, 2006
Dr. Junku Yuh inaugurated as the University 6th President

April 26th, 2006
Dr. Sungjoon Cho was inaugurated as the acting president

Total 890 freshman were enrolled in 3 colleges and 5 undergraduate departments:
147 students in 10 departments for master's course,
51 students in 9 departments for doctor¡¯s course,
47 students in 7 departments at Graduate School of Aviation Industry & Business Administration,
30 students in 3 departments at Graduate School of Business Administration.

December 9th, 2005
The level extension for the Students' Building was completed.

October 1th, 2005
The Display Technology Education Center was opened.

September 1th, 2005
The Korean Language Education Center was opened.

March 1th, 2005
School of Information & communications Engineering was renamed to School of Electronics, Telecommunication & Computer Engineering.

August 8th, 2004
Dr. Soon Kil Hong was inaugurated as the University 4th president(reappointed).

June 16th, 2004
The KAU Aerospace Center and Aerospace Museum were opened.

February 17th, 2004
Industry-University Cooperation Foundation established.

September 1th, 2003
Department of Air & Space Law for Evening School was reorganized to Day School.

Total 890 freshman were enrolled in 3 colleges and 5 undergraduate departments:

171 students in 9 departments for master's course,

27 students in 8 departments for doctor¡¯s course,

50 students in 6 departments at Graduate School of Aviation Industry & Business Administration,

75 students in 3 departments at Graduate School of Business Administration.

The Center for Korea Aircraft Safety was opened.

 

August 23th, 2002

The Central Library and the Business Incubator Center were opened.

In accordance with Graduate School Quota revision, changes were made as below:

Graduate School of English for master¡¯s course was established,

Four departments - Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering, Aerospace Engineering - were merged into Department of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering,

Department of Air Transport and Department of Business Administration for doctor¡¯s course were established,

Graduate School of Aviation Industry was renamed to Graduate School of Aviation Industry & Information Group, and Department of Information Protection and Aerospace & Tourism Information were established within,

Department of Tourism Management was established within Graduated School of Business Administration,

Entrance quota for 2002 was revised - 17 masters and 3 doctors for Humanities and Social Science, 14 masters and 3 doctors for Natural Science, 140 masters and 21 doctors for Engineering.

School of Electronics, Telecommunication, and Computer Engineering;
Department of Flight Operation; Department of Air Transportation;
Department of Materials Engineering;
Department of Business Administration (Day and Evening);
Department of English (Evening), and Department of Air and Space Law (Evening);

February 25th, 2000
Teaching profession courses for School of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering, Department of Materials Engineering, and School of Electronics, Telecommunication & Computer Engineering were established with quota of 60 students.
