The Department of Materials Engineering offers students an advanced education in the technologies of the metals, composites, and electro-electronic materials used not only in the aircraft industry but also in the general manufacturing industries, through systematic theoretical and practical programs, frequent experimentation, and hands-on training. Key subjects include material heat dynamics, materials science, steel, non-ferrous, composite materials, material engineering lab, metallography, and materials processing theories.
Graduates are awarded a BS and certificates in metal or heat treatment engineering after passing qualification tests and completing the courses. Graduates actively advance into government-sponsored research institutes or private businesses in the fields of metals, machinery, aircraft and semiconductors. |
