The KAU College of Engineering is committed to fostering leaders in science and technology, and scientists and engineers equipped with creative design ability, problem solving and an internationally competitive advantage in the knowledge-based information society of the 21st century aerospace age.

The College of Engineering consists of  two schools of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and Electronics, Electronics and Information Engineering, and the two Department of Materials Engineering and software. The College has been recognized as a first-class research group that explores new aerospace engineering, science and technologies.

The Ministry of Education and Human Resources has repeatedly designated the College as a member of specialized projects, highly evaluating its characteristic merits. The College specializes in the aerospace field to a world-class standard, and provides an educational environment which comprises 73 labs, a Venture Center, and various research rooms, enabling both undergraduate and graduate students to conduct comprehensive research and practice what they learn.

The College produces nearly 600 bachelors¡¯ graduates each year. Having been accredited as a graduate-centered education institute, it actively conducts numerous research activities at its on-campus research labs and the Venture Business Center, including those sponsored by the government ministries of Education & Human Resources, Commerce, Industry & Energy, Information & Communication, and Science & Technologies.

Furthermore, it has developed into a leading innovative engineering school by introducing ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education in Korea), a program designed to foster the world-class engineering graduates required in the contemporary age.
